A leadership gap
Maintain operating direction and decision ownership while you recruit, reorganize or establish the permanent leadership team.
Transitional Executive Support
When a leadership gap, production ramp or major change needs someone to carry it forward, VOR can take an agreed operating mandate and work as part of your leadership team.
Discuss a leadership needLead the work. Build capability. Transfer ownership.
WHEN TO BRING US IN
Maintain operating direction and decision ownership while you recruit, reorganize or establish the permanent leadership team.
Lead an agreed transformation, integration or manufacturing improvement effort across functions and through execution.
Connect engineering, production, quality and planning around the operating capabilities required for the next stage of growth.
FROM THE DECISION TO EXECUTION
The mandate defines what Liam will lead, how he will work with your team and where decision authority sits. The engagement can begin directly or follow an assessment.
Translate the mandate into a practical sequence of decisions, work and measures that the team can use.
Resolve the interfaces between engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and business systems.
Make progress, constraints, decisions and ownership visible so the team can act on what matters.
Develop owners, document the operating approach and prepare a deliberate transfer of responsibility.
THE ROLE FITS THE NEED
Choose the leadership or execution support your situation calls for, with clear responsibilities across your team.
An agreed operations or COO-level mandate, with decision rights and time commitment matched to the business need.
A defined responsibility for carrying a manufacturing, systems or organizational change through execution.
Focused support to the existing leadership team as it tests hypotheses, selects solutions and puts changes into practice.
HOW THE ENGAGEMENT WORKS
Define the outcome, sponsor, authority, scope and measures of progress.
Establish the operating picture and choose the work that deserves attention first.
Make decisions, coordinate execution and adapt as operating evidence develops.
Hand over responsibilities, routines and open decisions to the permanent team.
Scope, time commitment, duration, fees and travel are agreed for the mandate. The Phase Zero assessment fee applies only to that separately scoped assessment.
BUILD CAPABILITY
The permanent team needs the ownership, routines and operating knowledge to sustain progress. We build those into the engagement and agree how responsibilities will transfer.
Liam brings experience as an Amazon Director and Microsoft General Manager, alongside technical development, manufacturing systems and operational transformation work.
Liam’s operating experienceNo. Phase Zero is useful when the operating question or scope needs clarification. If the leadership need is already clear, we can define the mandate and scope executive support directly.
Yes. The role can support the existing executive team or take direct responsibility for a defined operating mandate. We agree the sponsor, decision rights and interfaces before work begins.
The structure follows the need. We agree time commitment, onsite and remote work, expected duration and review points as part of the scope.
Executive and implementation support are scoped separately from the $15,000–$25,000 single-site Phase Zero investigation. Fees reflect the mandate, time commitment, duration and travel requirements.
The handoff identifies ongoing owners, management routines, documented decisions and any remaining work. Transfer of responsibility is part of the engagement from the outset.
